The harvest process is done manually or hand picked, carried out starting at 7 am to 1 pm, aims to get fresh leaves, the harvest is done by women so that it has detailed results, only old leaves are picked, not young leaves, to get high levels of Mitagynine and consistent quality.

There are no exact figures that can describe in detail, but I guarantee thousands of hectares must be needed, for example, every family / house has 5-7 hectares, and every 1 hectare is planted with 1200-1500 kratom trees, residents involved in plantations in Putussibau, Kapuas Hulu area around 6000 – 10,000 inhabitants.
5. Are the trees harmed in the process do they die or regrow?
Trees are never damaged or cut down, but sometimes they require pruning of trees, aiming to regenerate leaves, and so that trees do not grow up, but grow sideways and become lush and make it easy for the harvesting process.

The harvesting process is done twice a month, for example at the beginning of the month farmers harvest in Area A, and at the end of the month they harvest in area B, our farmers do not do everything at one time in one area, so that there will be a continuous rotation.

We only need 30-40 farmers, with what they have, I think we can do work consistently and have a sustainable supply.

Some of Kansas’s lawmakers were still dead set on restricting access to kratom. However, the group was ultimately convinced by users’ heartfelt first-hand accounts, the AKA’s presented evidence, and the general consensus that there was no conclusive evidence that would justify an outright kratom ban.
As a result, Kansas was removed from the proposed bill prior to its passage in May 2018.

Which States Have Banned Kratom?
Kratom is legal throughout all of Kansas, but not all states are so lucky. Several states have imposed their own kratom bans.
Currently, the states that have outright banned kratom are as follows:
- Alabama classified kratom’s primary alkaloids, mitragynine, and 7-hydroxy-mitragynine, as Schedule I narcotics in May 2016. This likens kratom to substances like ecstasy and heroin, an unjust misclassification.
- Arkansas banned kratom in February of 2016. In 2017, state medical examiners incorrectly stated that kratom’s alkaloids are derived from opium. It is unlikely we’ll see the Arkansas kratom ban lifted soon.
- Indiana outlawed kratom in 2014 but incorrectly listed the botanical as a synthetic cannabinoid. The legislature later amended their language, classifying kratom as a hallucinogenic substance, another misclassification.
- Rhode Island banned kratom’s alkaloids in 2017. Due to public outcry in other states, Rhode Island’s ban occurred in secret, confusing both residents and law officials. The state will vote on a measure to reverse the ban on September 1st, 2021.
- Vermont banned kratom’s alkaloids in 2016, but they were improperly classified as “synthetic drugs.” In January of 2020, lawmakers filed a bill to decriminalize kratom products, but kratom’s future is still uncertain in the state.
- Wisconsin banned kratom’s alkaloids in 2014, incorrectly associating kratom with both synthetic cannabinoids and hallucinogenic drugs. In 2019, lawmakers held informational meetings with the American Kratom Association (AKA), a step in the right direction.
In addition, several states have imposed restrictions o kratom. Even more, some states’ counties have imposed their own local bans. These states include California, Illinois, and New Hampshire.

Environmental Factors and Their Effects on Kratom Crop
The main factor that affects kratom is the season in which a crop is harvested. Although kratom trees grow year-round, the ambient weather can have an effect on the crop, changing both its physical appearance and its chemical composition.
All of our kratom strains come directly from the source: expert Southeast Asia kratom farms, located principally in Indonesia. This region has, essentially, two seasons. From April to October, there is the “dry season,” a period of reduced rain and increased natural sunlight. What are kratom vein colors?
The color of a kratom vein are determined by the content of mitragynine (alkaloids) in the vein. The purpose of producing mitragynan is to protect the tree from insects and animals from eating the leaf. It’s also a stress mechanism. The mitragynan is why the leaf is so bitter and correlates to strength. This is why more mature leaf is more bitter then fresh leaf. When kratom leaves mature the alkaloids are sucked back into the tree through the veins. These leaves will look more yellow.
In winter you see mostly white and green with some red. Spring, mostly green, white, some red, with pink starting to show up. In summer, Seed pod are popping up, you see green, white, pink, red, purple. This continues to happens thru Fall. We should note seed pods are best to pick off the tree in Jan – April. Kratom Vein colors usually have its darkest vein color at the exterior of the plant. Getting lighter as you go inward. But is harder to see in summer – fall as all colors are on the tree. When they chew the leaf the sugar mixes with the fresh leaf and becomes sort of like a tasty paste. This paste will retain its sweet taste all the way through. This helps relieve sore your throat and makes the day much more bearable. Below we have written a guide to show you how.
Step 1: Pick some fresh leaf off of your tree. Any leaf will do but we recommend using larger leaves as they are easier to work with.

Step 1: Prepare your pot and water. Bring a pot of water simmering boil.
Step 2: While your pot reaches temperature. Chop up 30 fresh kratom leaf.
Step 3: Once your pot is at a simmering boil add your fresh leaf to the pot.
Step 4: Add 4 table spoons of lemon juice
Step 5: Boil your leaf for 35 minutes.
But wait! Do not throw out the leaf yet! You can reuse that leaf to make another pot or two. Enjoy

What are kratom vein colors?
The color of a kratom vein are determined by the content of mitragynine (alkaloids) in the vein. The purpose of producing mitragynan is to protect the tree from insects and animals from eating the leaf. It’s also a stress mechanism. The mitragynan is why the leaf is so bitter and correlates to strength. This is why more mature leaf is more bitter then fresh leaf. When kratom leaves mature the alkaloids are sucked back into the tree through the veins. These leaves will look more yellow.
In winter you see mostly white and green with some red. Spring, mostly green, white, some red, with pink starting to show up. In summer, Seed pod are popping up, you see green, white, pink, red, purple. This continues to happens thru Fall. We should note seed pods are best to pick off the tree in Jan – April. Kratom Vein colors usually have its darkest vein color at the exterior of the plant. Getting lighter as you go inward. But is harder to see in summer – fall as all colors are on the tree. You can tell a mature leaf will show signs of aging. Edges of the leaf will be a bit more weathered. Leaf that has been further along in the season will have a more yellowish color to the leaf.
